What is the Byron Beach Bat Set made out of:
Bat material: The bats are made out of Australian manufactured full hardwood AA Marine Ply, the highest quality, most durable and robust ply that will not deteriorate due to moisture exposure. There is an urban myth about ply that there is a secret adhesive in the marine ply that makes it so indestructible. This is far from the truth as the adhesive that is used in marine ply is the same as used in other plywood that is manufactured in Australia. The difference in quality is because of the use of highest quality grade veneers that leave no gaps when cut. These high grade veneers are used in every single layer hence the marine ply being of much higher quality. One could even say that full hardwood AA marine ply is more robust than solid wood as its defects have been graded out.
Bat coating/waterproofing: Each bat has been carefully coated with a environmentally friendly marine grade finish to make it even more durable and waterproof.
Grip: High quality YONEX Racquet Grip.
Logo branding: We brand each bat by hand with a wood burning stamp.
Racquet balls: With the bats we supply 2 differently rated 56mm JOSAN racquet balls (standard & slow) to give you more options and variety of the game.
